Uttar Pradesh State Industrial Development

promotion and infrastructure development
undertaking of the State Government

major promotional and development activities

DEVELOPMENT OF INDUSTRIAL AREAS
IS THE MAIN ROLE OF UPSIDC
One of the prime objective of UPSIDC
is to develop industrial areas and provide
primary infrastructure. Its industrial
areas are equipped with infrastructure
facilities like roads, drains, internal
power lines, street lights, etc. Massive
efforts have also been made to provide
state-of-the-art and need-based support
facilities like industrial housing,
telecom, water supply, common facility
centres, banks, post offices, dispensary,
police outpost, shops, Business Development
Centres for housing, modern communication
and business centres, field hostels
etc. UPSIDC has developed 155 Industrial
Areas encompassing 41,948 acres of land
with a wide range of infrastructure
facilities. UPSIDC has housed more than
7800 units in various industrial areas
which have provided direct employment
to 2,00,000 persons. These units involve
a capital outlay of over Rs. 15,000
