Park Location :

Leather Technology Park has been developed on 233 acres of land at cost of Rs. 2400 lacs , near Kanpur at Banthar, Unnao on Kanpur-Lucknow Highway for setting up tanneries and leather goods units.

Objective & Facilities :

In this park, facility of CETP 4.5 mld has been set up by Tanners Association Co.M/s BIPCCL. Facilities for Training and Design Centre, Technological Support Service, Quality Control for Saddlery and Export Management has been set up by NLDP supported International Institute for Saddlery and Export Management.

Current Status :

Environmental Clearance Obtained from MOEF.
Out of 233 acres, 69 acres of land is used for setting of tanneries, 47 acres for setting up manufacturing units for leather goods, 22 acres for green belt and 30 acres for CETP (Common Effluent Treatment Plant) and Solid Waste Management Project. This ambitious project is excepted to provide direct employment to over 8400 persons.
All 61 Tannery Plots & 75 leather goods Plot have been allotted. 24 units has started production & 31 allottees have started construction.
